A Sound Proposition
Audio Pro International is a brand new magazine, with a new remit and a new editorial stance.
But, it has a past. It originally existed as plain old, Audio Pro, and ceased publication in 2005 when its parent company fell into difficulties. The title was bought up by Intent Media, publisher of sister title MI Pro, and has been relaunched as monthly publication, with a more global remit (hence the new name) and a rock solid commitment to quality editorial and quality circulation.
The pro audio market is already served by a number of titles, but Intent Media believes Audio Pro International will carve a niche for itself through a new style of editorial based around in-depth news stories that look behind the headline and beyond the press release; features that drill down into the nuts and bolts of major installations, live events and broadcasts; and a highly technical approach that addresses the issues occupying the minds of those at the cutting edge of pro audio.
We will examine different market sectors every month, looking at the factors influencing market trends as well as the products blazing a trail. We will look at deals and partnerships around the world, how they were done and what happened next.
There will also be a raft of regular sections that will update every industry professional with the information he needs.
Perhaps most importantly, we’ll talk to the pro audio community, from the guys in the R&D department to the men behind the mixing desks. We’re lucky to be in an industry that combines incredible technology with fascinating characters and some of the most exciting industries in the world, from rock n roll to theatre, television and more. It’s a heady and unique mix – one that we intend to reflect and enjoy within the pages of Audio Pro International.
