Reading Festival approved up to 107dB

The Reading Borough Council has agreed to allow the Reading Festival to expand over the next two years and   increase its stage volumes from 98 to 107 dB, efestivals.com has reported.

The festival will grow from it's current capacity of 78,500 to 82,000 next year, and 85,000 in 2011 event. It will also be allowed to increase the number of early arrivals from 7,500 to 20,000.

Reading and sister event Leeds will feature a line-up of over 150 acts over the bank holiday weekend across six stages from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August. Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead will headline the events, with other acts including Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, The Prodigy, Maximo Park, Ian Brown, Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Gossip, Glasvegas and many more.
