California-based mic manufacturer, MXL, announces new Tempo USB mic which is also compatible with the iPad
California-based microphone manufacturer, MXL, has unveiled its new USB condenser microphone, the Tempo.
The Tempo is also compatible for the iPad. It can connect to the ubiquitous tablet via an optional iPad camera Connection adapter.
As well as being able to work with the various recording applications available on the iPad the Tempo is also able to work with a variety of computer-based music programmes. Similarly, it is equally at home with VOIP programmes such as ooVoo, Skype, iChat and Google Talk.
The Tempo, which weighs only 280 grams, is powered by the USB port. What is more, it has a sensitivity of -47dB re 1 v/Pa and a frequency response of 40Hz to 18kHz.
The Tempo is compatible with Windows and Mac OS. It is also available in two colours: silver/black or black/red. It retails at $79.95.
