Several key appointments and new UK office follows the company’s most successful year
Riedel Communications has announced the opening of a new dedicated UK office and the addition of several new staff members.
The new office, located at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, 15 miles outside of Central London, will cover rental and sales activities as well as direct customer support in the UK. The office is being managed by business development director, Paul Rivens.
“Now that we’re starting our own office in the UK, we have the opportunity to establish a more direct contact with our existing customers here,” said Rivens. “And being at UK’s leading film production facility Pinewood Studios is not only exciting but provides Riedel with numerous business opportunities.”
As well as a manufacturer of digital intercom products, Riedel is also one of the largest rental companies in the field of radio and intercom technology worldwide. Backed by the German headquarters’ vast stock of equipment, Riedel’s UK office is now able to provide equipment and services for the largest of communications projects. Recent UK assignments include the latest OB production vehicle from Gearhouse, Omni TV and Sony UK’s latest OB project.
Meanwhile, in a recruitment drive that follows the most successful year in its history, the company has also announced several new members to its international teams in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Rick Fisher, Telex sales manager for more than 20 years, has joined Riedel’s US team as regional sales manager for the Southeast and Midwest regions. He commented: “I’m delighted to start contributing to the success of a company, which has such a high commitment to innovation and the further development of intercom and fibre technology.”
Riedel’s new UK office benefits from the addition of Struan Robertson, who joined the company as system support engineer, while Dave Letson, former international sales manager at Calrec, has joined the office in Sydney. Letson is taking over responsibility for Riedel’s sales activities in Australia and New Zealand.
“Building on last year’s successes like Cutting Edge and Global, I’m looking forward to continue developing Riedel’s international business,” said Letson.
