First day pre-registration numbers exceed '09 figures
The ISE 2010 tradeshow, held at the Amsterdam RAI, Netherlands, from February 2nd to 4th, opened to record numbers, as 24,830 A/V professionals registered for the event by 9 am this morning.
Considering last year’s pre-registered numbers were 19,500, and the show saw a total of 24,912 visitors, the 2010 show is set to smash all previous figures, possibly on the first day.
Mike Blackman, MD, ISE opened the show with optimistic statements about the show and the industry in general. “The past few months have seen a real upswing in confidence across the European AV industry, and our record pre-registration levels are a reflection of that optimism,” he stated. “We will host over 100 new exhibitors in Amsterdam, while our supporting associations, CEDIA and InfoComm International, are set to deliver their broadest-ever programme of education sessions to run in parallel with the show."
Blackman stated that the show’s educational seminars and aggressive marketing strategy has made it a must-see event. “Much like the industry it serves, ISE has gone from being ‘interesting’ to ‘essential’ in a relatively short period of time,” he explains. “Just as enterprises, public facilities and hose builders all over the world realise that they need to harness the power of AV, so ISE has become the focal point for a market that continues to expand and shows no sign of reducing in potential.”
Audio Pro will continue to provide live updates from the show floor through out the event. www.iseurope.org
