New system launched in response to an increasing interest in Alcons for sound with picture
Alcons Audio has introduced the CRMS system at the ISE show; a three-way reference system designed for A/V projects, screening rooms, and high-end home theatre installations. It has been developed in response to an increasing interest in Alcons systems for sound with picture.
The CRMS’s unique design feature is that the MHF section also acts as a full-range surround system. This results, the company said, in a very uniform sound stage throughout the entire listening area.
The firm is also showcasing its LR7 micro pro-ribbon line-array system, the latest and smallest member of Alcons’ successful pro-ribbon line-arrays.
It features a single 6.5-inch woofer and the Alcons RBN401 four-inch pro-ribbon driver in a 15-degree vertical projection configuration. 16-Ohm impedance and a choice of 90-degree or 120-degree horizontal projection makes it ideal for A/V projects, where compact form factor and precise line-array throw and imaging are required.
A selection of other Alcons products will be on the stand, such as the QR36 pro-ribbon column array system and the V-series, recently installed at Berns in Stockholm Sweden, Cavalli Club in Florence Italy and Buddha Bar in Beirut Lebanon.
On-stand low-SPL demonstrations will be given with VR8 monitors and BF151 subwoofers.
