Installation industry gets its first look at Digico’s latest innovations
Digico is highlighting its latest live mixing console innovations, the SD8-24 and EX-007, at ISE in Amsterdam.
“ISE is an excellent platform from which Digico can show industry professionals how far we advance, year on year,” explained the company’s managing director, James Gordon. “2009 was no exception for us in terms of innovation.”
Attracting attention at the show is Digico’s latest offering, the EX-007, which is designed to substantially increase the number of available faders and number of channels controllable at any one time on a Digico SD7 mixing console.
“The EX-007 has many applications,” continued Gordon. “For fixed installations, the EX-007 can be used as a remote surface in the auditorium, with the SD7 in the control room at the back of the theatre. Also, the EX-007 is substantially smaller than the SD7, which has the added advantage of freeing up more seats for a venue.”
The firm is also focussing on the SD8-24, which it launched toward the end of last year. The new console has all the features of its bigger brother, the SD8, but with a footprint less than a metre wide.
“The SD8-24, EX-007, SD7T, OverDrive software and Mach2 software suites demonstrate that we continue to be at the very forefront of the digital audio industry with our use of FPGA designs and user driven software,” concluded Gordon. “The result is that we can maintain our strong investment in R&D during 2010, bringing what we believe to be the best in console technology to our customers.”Digico is highlighting its latest live mixing console innovations, the SD8-24 and EX-007, at ISE in Amsterdam.
