Tennessee-based company expands its console inventory.
Allstar Audio Systems has added the DiGiCo D1 and D5 live consoles to its inventory.
The company has taken delivery of the desks and is beginning to promote them to its clients. The D1 is based on the award-winning D5 and provides the same sonic quality and much of the powerful control of its bigger brother, but in a compact frame and at a more economical price.
Borne set-up Allstar Audio Systems, a full-service sound, lighting, video and staging company in 1984. Since then, the Tennessee and Florida-based venture has been adding to its inventory as often as possible.
“I do several events each year where National Touring Artists come through, and I have noticed that the bulk of them are carrying DiGiCo consoles”, commented Mike Borne, president, Allstar Audio Systems (pictured above). “It's pretty obvious to me which one makes my PA system sing. There's definitely some magic in the British pre-amps that no one else has been able to capture.”
