LIPA graduate to take up role of commercial audio sales manager
Yamaha has announced that Gianni Abruzzese is to be appointed to the role of commercial audio sales manager.
This follows the recent organisational changes at Yamaha Commercial Audio, which saw Nick Cook taking up the newly created role of European marketing director and Karl Christmas becoming deputy general manager for the UK operation.
The promotion will see Gianni managing the entire UK Commercial Audio business, ensuring that Yamaha's strong position within the digital mixer market continues to grow. He will also oversee the implementation of plans for the development of the company’s prospering system installation business.
Gianni is a graduate of LIPA where he gained a BA (Hons) degree in sound technology. He initially worked as a sound engineer and subsequently as house engineer in a corporate recording environment creating content and advertisements for television and film.
Gianni has been with Yamaha for over five years in a number of roles including technical support and regional sales management. He commented: “I am delighted to be part of these changes which will see the Commercial Audio team being strengthened both locally and in Europe. We’ll be working to consolidate our leadership in the digital mixing arena and continuing to develop our expanding systems solutions business. This will mean working even more closely with our dealer partners to ensure that our recent successes continue.”
