Mixing console manufacturer out of receivership
French digital mixing console manufacturer, INNOVASON and German pro audio company Lawo, today announced that Lawo has acquired a majority shareholding in INNOVASON. Lawo is an internationally renowned provider of high-end digital mixing consoles and routing systems to the broadcast industry.
The move officially terminates the receivership period for INNOVASON and provides a strong partner for future development.
According to INNOVASON sales and marketing director, Xavier Pion, the arrangement is a perfect fit for both companies. “It’s no secret that we had been looking for a development partner for some time. We explored a number of possibilities, but none seemed to be quite the match we were looking for until Philipp Lawo expressed an interest,” stated Pion (pictured, left, with Gerard Malvot, centre).
“As a leading manufacturer of high-end digital broadcast consoles, Lawo’s expertise in the digital domain is beyond question. We have similar areas of competence geared to the live market. I believe that the opportunities created by the synergies of such complementary technologies in two quite different markets will be significant for both parties. I am delighted to have concluded the agreement and look forward to a rich partnership.”
Lawo CEO, Philipp Lawo (pictured, right), is in full agreement. “Our investment in INNOVASON adds a new dimension to our activities at Lawo. The opportunity to create new synergies will be to the benefit of both companies. INNOVASON is a strong brand in the live sound market, and we are looking forward to taking it to the next level.”
