Riedel Communications UK home to new market development division

German broadcast and pro audio manufacturer Riedel Communications has now started to market its products and services directly in the UK.

Announced on July 9, Riedel Communications UK Ltd. will be the home of the company’s new market development division. This will be dedicated to developing new markets in the UK as well as in the rest of the world.

“Our significant international growth brought us to a point where we needed to optimize our approach in order to develop new markets”, says Riedel’s new appointed Business Development Director Paul Rivens (pictured, left). “We decided to develop a dedicated function to target specific markets allowing the international sales team to maintain the overall momentum.”

The international sales team will be managed by Riedel’s new Sales Director Jens Miedek (pictured, right).

As a first step Riedel’s new division will focus on further developing the US, Australian and South African markets as well as the theatre & installation markets in the UK.

“Here in the UK Riedel used to focus on the broadcast market. Our local partner MI Broadcast did a professional job in establishing the Riedel brand in the UK, with highly prestigious projects such as BBC Scotland’s facility at Pacific Quay or the BT Tower in London”, says Rivens.

“Now we want to reflect our full portfolio of products and services and start developing the pro-audio and theatre markets. With Robert Mackman from MI Broadcast we came to an amicable agreement which allows us to set up our own operation in the UK in order to cover all our clients requirements directly.”
