Expanded education programmes and the latest technologies and products will be presented at this year’s show
PLASA08 is quickly approaching and the news from the organizers is there will be a strong presence of new audio technologies at this year's show.
With pre registrations at an all time high and numerous new and returning exhibitors putting their latest products and services on display, PLASA has reported a tremendous buzz about the pro audio side of the show.
This year will also see the first ever PLASA Masterclass, presented by Tony Andrews of Funktion-One. Winner of last year’s Gottelier Award, Andrews' presentation will underline the importance of transient response and reflect on the implications this has for trends in the modern live sound industry. His Masterclass will headline a programme of free seminars focusing on a range of audio technologies and applications.
PLASA08 will also host a presentation on how to successfully comply with the new Noise at Work regulations along side seminars from InfoComm and Technologies for Worship.
The show will serve as the official launch of the Mayor of London’s Green Theatre Programme, which will include a special exhibition focusing on climate change initiatives. A new Industry Skills Zone, sponsored by PLASA Qualifications, will also be held to aid skills development in the audio and AV markets while serving as the Information Point for the new National Rigging Certificate and NVQ developments in the sectors.
The organizers are sure that all of the major pro audio companies are represented at PLASA 08. Coupled with the extended educational program, this year’s show offers designers, installers and technical specialists an up-to-date insight into the latest innovations and product applications happening in the industry.
