Two Soundcraft GB4 Series mixers and a host of Harman Pro gear is being used at The Fengtai Softball Stadium.
Women Softball will be played for the last time as an Olympic event in Beijing this month. Eight teams will compete in two rounds of play at The Fengtai Softball Stadium.
Harman Pro’s Chinese distributor, ACE (Advanced Communication Equipment) has equipped the stadium with a full Harman Pro outfit of gear, including two Soundcraft GB4 Series desks. A 32-channel GB4 and 16-channel GB4 are in-place for mixing and management along side 12 of Crown’s CTs 2000 amplifiers, seven CT 3000 and five CT 1200s, which power 64 JBL Application Engineered (AE) Series and Precision Directivity (PD) Series loudspeakers. Additionally, twenty-three dbx DriveRack 260 processors and two dbx PB48 processors provide system processing.
“The Fengtai Softball Stadium will be an impressive stage for the world’s elite softball players and it’s fitting that the venue for an announcer-heavy pursuit such as softball, features a sound system from the world’s leading professional audio brands,” said Keith Watson, vice president of marketing and communications, Soundcraft Studer.
“We are pleased to have such a strong presence at the games and we’re especially pleased that quality sound from Soundcraft and our other companies will contribute to the enjoyment of fans at the 2008 Olympic Games.”
