British duo utilise JBL stage monitor as Beijing hands over to London
On Sunday, August 24, the 2008 Summer Olympic Games officially ended with the closing ceremony at the Beijing National Stadium.
While celebrating the past two weeks of competition, the ceremony also turned an eye towards the future, with London providing an eight-minute taster as to what expect in 2012 as the Olympic flag was handed over.
It's not often the British see a London double-decker bus, mobbed by assorted 'street folk', which then turns into a stage to reveal talent-show star Leona Lewis and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.
But there it was, soon to be followed by a school crossing lady in hi-viz, David Beckham and a Busby Berkely-style umberella dance montage.
Happens all the time in Peckham, allegedly.
While Page and Lewis rocked the 80,000 crowd with a rendition of 'Whole Lotta Love', bemused viewers considered the message being offered.
Yet one message was clear, according to JBL. Yes indeed, the stage bus also featured another star, a single JBL PRX512M stage monitor, placed in front of Page.
Seems the British may not be so mad after all.
