Field applications engineer brings 18 years of experience in the design of broadcast and recording facilities
Bosch Communications Systems has announced the addition of Johnson Knowles to its team as field applications engineer, based in Dallas, Texas.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Knowles spent 18 years with leading Dallas-based architectural acoustics design and consulting firm Russ Berger Design Group – a company he helped found – and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position, primarily in the field of architectural engineering and the design of broadcast and recording facilities.
Mr Knowles also has extensive experience in designing broadcast cabling systems for sports facilities. Some of his major clients include NBC, ABC, NPR, CMT, MTV, NFL Films, World Wrestling Entertainment, and Sony Music. He has undertaken studio design work for a wide range of artists, including Whitney Houston, Don Henley, Steve Miller, John Fogerty, Mariah Carey, and Michael Bolton.
“I’m very excited to be here, as the Bosch Communications Systems family of brands is uniquely positioned in our industry,” said Mr Knowles.
“We can provide complete systems that integrate public address, intercom, life safety, and security equipment, all controlled via a single, all-encompassing platform like IRIS-Net. Demand for these complete system solutions is growing, especially in large venues like stadiums and arenas, and acoustic performance and compatibility needs to be optimised in every detail. That’s where my skills can be really useful. Each brand under the Bosch Communications Systems umbrella has a very strong reputation for engineering and design, and collectively we can provide a suite of products to precisely address installations across all markets; one point of contact, with no compromises.”
