MPG Award nominations now open

Inaugural awards event recognises UK talent and technical ability
Nominations for the first Music Producers Guild (MPG) Awards can now be made on line at www.mpgawards.co.uk.
The Awards have been created to recognise the talent and technical abilities of the UK’s top UK’s music producers, engineers, mixers, re-mixers and programmers.
Visitors can nominate people for 13 categories, including Producer of the Year, Recording Engineer of the Year, Best Mixer, Best Mastering Engineer and the Joe Meek Award for Innovation in Production.
The winner of the MPG Producer of the Year Award will also receive a BRIT Award for Best Producer.
Winners will be announced at an event ceremony held on February 12th 2009 at the Cafe de Paris in London.
Nominations will be open until November 28th, 2008. The MPG wants to ensure that everyone deserving of an award is included for consideration so all nominations are welcome.
