Further innovative features to be developed for RockNet following integration
Riedel Communications, German manufacturer and supplier of communication systems for the broadcast, theatre and event industries, has acquired digital audio specialist Media Numerics.
Media Numerics is the developer of the real time audio network RockNet, which began shipping earlier this year. Among the first few applications of the highly anticipated product were prominent productions such as Bruce Springsteen, Queen and the Grammy Awards.
“With RockNet we have a new product line, which really complements our existing portfolio,” said Thomas Riedel, Managing Director of Riedel Communications. “The acquisition also strengthens our development expertise in the field of professional audio products and we really look forward to the further development and success of RockNet.”
Matthias Knoth, Managing Director of Media Numerics added: “With the integration of Media Numerics into the Riedel family this will allow us to focus 100 per cent on the development of further innovative features for RockNet.
Tasks such as sales and order management, which increasingly absorbed our resources, can now be handled more efficiently within an international organization such as Riedel.”
Riedel Communications was founded in 1987 and today employs over 170 people located within 8 locations in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America. It was the largest supplier of communications equipment to the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing and designs, manufactures and distributes sophisticated intercom and radio technology for customers worldwide in the broadcast, pro-audio, event, sports and theatre industries.
