The nominees for the 2013 Sound Editing and Sound Mixing Oscars have been revealed.
In the Sound Editing category, Ethan Van Der Wyn (pictured, left) – already a winner of two Oscars for his work on Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and King Kong (2005) – receives a fifth nomination for his contribution to Ben Affleck's Argo, while Skyfall sound editor Per Hallberg – another two-time award recipient – is another big contender.
Andy Nelson has been nominated twice for the 2013 Sound Mixing award (for Les Miserables and Lincoln), but faces stiff competition from the likes of John Reitz (Argo), who the award back in 1999 for his efforts on The Matrix.
