The Madison Piano Bar, La Cigale in Qatar sought the services of Delta Sound LCC in handling the refurbishment of the audio systems in the newly expanded venue during the summer.
Desiring a comfortable setup that followed the architecture and furniture design of the space, the La Cigale group decided to use L’Acoustics enclosures and amplification, turning to the experienced team at Delta Sound LCC to hand it’s implementation.
With a design created by Andy Jackson and put into effect by Robert Turner, Paul Tonkin and Aries Fernandes, Delta Sound LCC handled the installation of several units intended to help house technicians and managers control master volumes, input levels and zoning across multiple audio points around the space.
The system is comprised of 12 ARC II’s, eight SB28’s, eight 115XT HiQ and seven 8XT units with speakers powered by LA8 and LA4 amplifiers. Delta Sound also used two BSS soundweb blu100s to run the system control with units divided between the control racks, one controlling input gains whilst the other handled the outputs.
The Bar has nightly performances and audio monitoring for all acts consists of four 112XTP enclosures whilst the floor sound is directed to a DiGiCo SD11 which sends its signal through a MADI multicore up to the Mini Digi rack in the control room.Article continues below
To cater for a stage that moves across the venue, MADI will run for the signal multicore with a MADI patch bay in the control room and several points around the space equipped with MADI interfaces.
“We were confident that Delta Sound team would do the job without any troubles, and now full thanks to all the Delta Sound team – Andy, Robert, Paul and Aries – who did a perfect, great job.” Says Ammar Al Baik, Director of IT for the La Cigale Group.
“We take a huge amount of pride in our work and feel that we are able to offer our clients another perspective on installation delivery and support.” Says Andy Jackson, managing director of Delta Sound.
