The world’s highest paid musicians over the past 12 months have been revealed by Forbes, with U2 taking poll position.
The figures compile all pre-tax income earned from May 2010 to May 2011, before subtracting agent and manager fees.
U2’s international stadium tour made an enormous 195 million US dollars, overtaking The Rolling Stones’ ‘A Bigger Bang’ tour as the most lucrative of all time. The number two spot went to Bon Jovi, with the group earning over 125 million US dollars.
Elton John, Lady Gaga and Michael Bublé took third, fourth and fifth places respectively.
