Free Real World session for RockStar winners
RockStar Bands is holding a competition to find the best-unsigned band in the UK and Ireland.

The lucky competition winners are awarded recording time at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studio and an appearance at The Glastonbury festival.

Gabriel’s UK-based studio is a residential recording studio that is the dream location of any warm-blooded musician, with numerous recording rooms, high-end gear and luxury accomidations. Real World is set in the Berkshire country side and has hosted the likes of Amy Winehouse, Deep Purple, GoldFrapp, The Happy Mondays and King Crimson.

A spokesperson for Real World studios stated: “We are eager to hear and see some of the undiscovered rock talent the UK has to offer in 2009. We were thrilled to be so heavily involved in RockStar 08, the standard of the finalists was phenomenal, and this year? …Well, let's just say we're all very excited!”

Since winning last year’s RockStar competition, Liverpool’s Major Major have supported Franz Ferdinand and the Ting Tings at the Pilton Equinox party and have become the first confirmed act of Glastonbury 09.
