John Meyer picks up Gottelier Award on day two of PLASA 2012

Day two of PLASA 2012 proved to be a particularly eventful day, culminating in John Meyer picking up the prestigious Gottelier Award for his contribution to the development of the pro audio industry.

Among the other key PLASA Award winners was Cast Software, who won the PLASA Award for Innovation, Gold Award, sponsored by AED Rent for its BlackTrax system, which tracks people and objects with optimum accuracy in real-time. Meanwhile, the PLASA Sustainability Award went to ETC for the Source Four LED. All the nominated products will remain on display in the Innovation Gallery at the centre of the Show floor for the remainder of the show.

Also high on the agenda yesterday was the plethora of pro audio training opportunities courtesy of Soundcraft, Midas and Roland Systems, while Martin Audio took centre stage in the PLASA 2012 AudioLab, which will be occupied by Bose today, who bring with them a live jazz band.
