Heavy metal band Metallica are launching their very own festival, which is to take place in Atlantic City from June 23-24th, CMU has reported.
The rock legends have also announced that they will be headlining both nights of the event, which will be known as Orion Music + More, playing The Black Album in full on day one and all of Ride The Lightning on day two.
Other acts currently confirmed to perform at the festival include Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse, Fucked Up and A Place To Bury Strangers.
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich commented: “We’ve had the idea of doing our own lifestyle festival with lots of diverse music and fun and games for years. Finally this year all the practical ducks lined up in a row, and we are beyond psyched to bring Orion to our fans, friends and the curious.”
Tickets are currently on sale to fan club members, while general tickets go on sale from Saturday February 11th. Click here for more details.
