The UK Music Producer’s Guild has revealed that its 2011 awards ceremony will be graced by the presence of a number of star musicians, as well as their producers.
“The evening promises to be an exciting affair, illuminated by the surprise appearance of several celebrity artists and producers,” said a release. “Obviously, we're not going to name them here, but be assured that you will be suitably entertained.”
The appearance of celebrity artists at this year’s awards would be in-keeping with the 2010 event, at which the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Florence Welch turned up to support their respective producers and engineers. Muse were also in attendance to collect their own award for self-producing The Resistance.
If the list of finalists for the 2011 MPG Awards is anything to go by, celebrity guests this year could include artists such as Freemasons (pictured) and Bjork, while production luminaries Tony Visconti and Trevor Horn might be among the crowd when the event takes place at Café de Paris on February 9th.
