Pink Floyd tribute first to use 3D visuals

The Australian Pink Floyd Show’s 2011 world tour will feature 3D visuals and effects by John Attard, who has worked on films such as Gladiator and Harry Potter, the band have announced.

The headline shows to take place across the world, are expected to be the  first use of 3D Stereographic visuals in a rock concert, and have the aim of heightening the level of audience involvement.

John Attard was hired by the Pink Floyd tribute band and quickly decided that 3D effects would work well with the audience and add to the other visuals including a laser light show and a quadraphonic sound system.

Pink Floyds ‘Greatest Hits’ will be the focus of the performances which continue taking place around Europe until April. The shows hit the UK from 10th March.
