Line6 are to present their new live sound ecosystem in Frankfurt’s ProLight + Sound event as part of their European unveiling which will include a series of demonstrations.
The ecosystem is designed to be able to not only work together but also to comfortably complement third-party offerings. According to Line6, the new ecosystem is ideal for applications from big theatre shows to solo coffeehouse gigs and everything in between.
Pride of place will be Line6’s new StageScape M20d smart mixing system—which was covered in more detail by Audio Pro International in January. This mixing system records 16 channels as well as the main mix in high resolution, 24 bit WAV format. This can be recorded to SD card, USB pen drive or directly to PC or MAC.
The M20d also includes an innovative visual mixing environment and touchscreen mixing. What is more, the M20d can be controlled remotely using one or more Apple iPad’s. Using the iPad, users can set individual monitor mixes from the stage or tweak the FOH mix from the audience.
Line6 will also be showcasing the StageSource loudspeaker system which includes the powerful 1400-watt, 3-way, tri-amped StageSource L3t loudspeaker and the 1200-watt dual12-inch StageSource L3s woofers.Article continues below
Finally, they will present the diverse Line6 XD-V digital wireless mic family.
The tech has already been unveiled at this year’s Winter NAMM in Anaheim, California. The SmartScape M20d mixer won “Best in Show” at the event with Line6 picking up an additional “Companies to Watch” award.
The kit will be demonstrated each week day at the ProLight + Sound event—taking place between March 21st and 24th—by Line6’s Sean Halley and Jim Boggia at the Line6 stand (Hall 6.1, Stand C80).
The demonstrations will take place at 10.00, 11.30, 14.00 and 16.00 each day.
