PLASA 2010: Avid to host Venue seminars

Avid will hold a series of Panel Discussions and Master Classes on its Venue digital console line at PLASA2010.

The half-hour sessions, held in the Kensington Meeting Room, Upper Level, Earls Court 1, will begin Monday, September 12 and continue throughout the duration of show. Robb Allan, solutions development, live sound for Avid, and FOH for Coldplay and Massive Attack is one of the many leading live sound engineers scheduled to host the seminars.

The sessions have been designed to provide customers insights into using Venue Virtual Soundcheck and how to enhance creativity by taking full advantage of plug-ins, and tips and tricks from the field. Seminars will also be hosted by Robert Scovill, sr. market specialist for Avid and FOH for Tom Petty; Chris Madden, FOH engineer for Pink and Joe Cocker; and representatives from Waves, Softube and Sonnox.
