PLASA 2012 welcomes record number of opening day visitors

Opening its doors on the PLASA show for the last time before its move to Excel London in 2013, Earls Court welcomed a record number of opening day visitors to PLASA 2012.

Away from the 300-plus exhibitor stands, the PLASA Bar, sponsored once again by d&b audiotechnik, served as the social hub for the show floor.

Meanwhile, in addition to the wide range of new product launches and innovations on show, the training sessions and seminars in the Professional Development Programme proved to be an un-missable opportunity for many visitors. Yesterday’s highlights included 'Making it all Possible!' the first of the show’s Olympics Uncovered sessions, a look at skills and training from the Backstage Academy and Fred Foster's question about the revolution in LED technology: 'LED Theatrical Luminaires: Are We There Yet?'
