Today sees the PLASA Focus: Leeds 2012 show get underway, as the Royal Armouries Museum opens its doors for two days of product launches, exhibitions and educational sessions.
While the Leeds show will no doubt provide the usual platform for those in the fields of live sound, theatre production, corporate events, installation and leisure attractions to exhibit their latest products and innovations, this year’s event also introduces the free Professional Development Programme, which was designed by a consortium of industry experts and includes a broad range of seminars, training sessions and workshops.
The Professional Development Programme will see API columnist Toby Alington lead his ‘Capturing Adele at the Royal Albert Hall’ seminar, whereby the industry veteran will reflect on the challenges and processes of adapting live recording techniques to artists, venues and final post-performance production formats.
