The doors of the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds, open tomorrow morning, as the great and good from the world of pro audio head to the north of England for the PLASA Focus: Leeds 2012 show.
For two days, the industry will converge upon the Leeds venue to view the latest technology and innovations developing in the worlds of live sound, theatre production, corporate events, installation and leisure attractions.
This year’s event also sees the introduction of the two-day Professional Development Programme, which is free to attend for all visitors. The programme is designed by a consortium of industry experts and includes a broad range of seminars, training sessions and workshops. Among the seminars set to take place at the show is API columnist Toby Alington’s ‘Capturing Adele at the Royal Albert Hall’, which will see the industry veteran reflect on the challenges and processes of adapting live recording techniques to artists, venues and final post-performance production formats.
