Polar Audio takes on Williams Sound

US-based Williams Sound, a global designer and manufacturer of wireless communications, has appointed Polar Audio as its exclusive UK distributor.

Formed in 1976, the company has developed a strong presence in markets ranging from houses of worship to tour guiding.

A specialist in radio, audio, infra-red, microprocessors and mechanical design, Williams Sound continues to develop new products to meet technical requirements in various different countries.

The firm offers a range of lines designed to meet the needs of diverse applications, also satisfying all the standards and protocols now required as a result of the 2010 Equality Act in respect of hearing disability issues.

"This is an exciting development for Polar Audio as it significantly expands our offer in what is a growing marketplace," said John Midgley, managing director of Polar Audio. "Williams Sound is without doubt a heavyweight player in this sector and I foresee a mutually bright future in assisting them in their mission to 'help people hear.'"

A Williams Sound representative also commented: "Polar Audio's success in the UK over the years is very evident and so it should come as no great surprise that we should wish to partner with such a skilled and enterprising team. We look to the future with what we believe is very well-founded optimism."

Williams Sound will exhibit at Integrated Systems Europe 2013 in Amsterdam next week, and will be joined on its stand by a member of the Polar Audio team.
