Universal Audio has announced an agreement whereby two German-based companies, SPL (Sound Performance Lab) and Brainworx, will become third party audio plugin developers for the award-winning UAD DSP platform.
SPL and Brainworx are also working with Universal Audio to finalise a software development kit (SDK) that will allow other select developers of professional audio software to create plugins for UAD and to sell them via UA’s online store.
“We’re thrilled that UA asked us to help develop the new UAD-2 platform SDK and release our most desirable plugins for the UAD-2 system,“ said Dirk Ulrich, CEO of Brainworx and head of SPL. “Re-entering the platform with our own series of Analog Code plugins – after a very successful cooperation with UA on the Transient Designer plugin several years ago – was the logical next step for SPL. We believe that UAD-2 users will love our latest creations.”
