Voting opens for 2013 MPG Awards

The MPG has announced that the MPG Awards 2013 voting process is now underway for Members of the organisation, who will decide the shortlist for 15 of the 18 categories.

“Our Awards are obviously gaining popularity and status as this year over 500 individual names have been nominated in the various award categories,” said MPG (Music Producers Guild) chairman Steve Levine. “We are thrilled by this as it shows just how much talent and creativity there is in the sphere of the recording professional – and how much these people value receiving an award that has been judged by their peers.”

The MPG Awards were created to recognise the achievements of the UK’s top producers, engineers, remixers and mastering engineers. The 2013 Awards will take place at the Café de Paris in London on February 7th 2013. As in previous years, the winner of the MPG UK Producer of the Year category will automatically win a BRIT Award for Best Producer.
